Early version 671 RR 1952

An EARLY version Korean War 671 RR Steam Turbine 6-8-6 with 2046-50W tender.  During the Korean War, commercial enterprises had to cut back on aluminum use.  In 1952, Lionel made the 671 6-8-6 steam engine without Magnetraction since it had to cut back. MOST of these were numbered 671 RR.  However, this early version was issued with the old shell, so it only says 671 despite the fact that the aluminum magnetraction material was not used to comply with the new regulations.  This interesting variation came with the 2046W-50 whistling tender.  Ours is in very good condition with the usual body paint chips here and there.  Nothing is broken or missing.  Everything works well.  $395
