1/04/07: WOW: An amazing VINTAGE American Flyer collection just purchased from a local estate.  The original owner--now deceased--was an attorney who traveled the country, buying nice pieces in famous stores around the country in the 1970's and 1980's.  He also mail-ordered much from these same houses during the same period.  He had great taste--liked clean items.

Highlights of this collection include a Circus Set, Silver Flash, Silver Streak, numerous boxed sets; numerous quality engines to include 332 Northern, 336 Northern, Royal Blue, Hudson, Franklin, Washington, more; many rolling stock items--lots boxed--including Chestnut striped passenger cars, like new dump cars, USMC operating boxcar-missile launcher flatcar tandem; LOTS of great diesels such as the New Haven PA, Santa Fe Chief PAs, Santa Fe Blue Freight PAs, Baldwin diesels, Texas and Pacific GP-7s, UP GPs, more; accessories--many boxed--such as the log loader, cattle yard, Guilford animated passenger station, Mystic Station, and much much more.
